Landscaping & Hardscaping in Los Angeles

Great landscapes are built, not planted. We handle the hard side — pavers, retaining walls, steps, drainage, and lighting — and pair it with drought-smart planting and irrigation that fits how Southern California actually gets water.

How We Handle Landscaping & Hardscaping

Hardscape scope includes paver driveways and patios on properly compacted base, engineered retaining walls, seat walls, fire pits, and steps that handle slopes gracefully. Drainage is designed in from the start — water is the enemy of everything we build.

On the soft side: drip irrigation, smart controllers, artificial and natural turf, and low-water planting palettes that stay attractive through summer. Front-yard transformations pair beautifully with our exterior painting and driveway work for a whole-property refresh.

Landscaping & Hardscaping FAQs

How much does hardscaping cost in LA?

Paver patios typically run $20–$35 per square foot installed; retaining walls $60–$120 per face foot depending on height and engineering. Full front-yard transformations usually land $25,000–$80,000, itemized line by line.

Do retaining walls need permits?

In most cities, walls over 3–4 feet or supporting a slope require engineering and permits. We design, engineer, and permit them — a failed retaining wall is not a place to economize.

Is artificial turf worth it?

For high-traffic or hard-to-water areas, usually yes: zero water, zero mowing, 15+ year lifespan. We install quality turf on proper base with drainage so it looks real and drains fast.
