Most do — decks over 30 inches high and attached patio covers virtually always. Unpermitted structures surface at sale and in insurance claims; we permit everything we build.
How much does a covered patio cost?
Quality attached patio covers typically run $15,000–$40,000 depending on size, material, and electrical; full outdoor kitchens add $20,000–$60,000. Itemized quotes, always free.
Composite or wood decking?
Composite costs more upfront and nearly nothing after; wood is warmer underfoot and cheaper today but wants refinishing every few years in our sun. We build both and will price both if you're torn.
