Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you request an estimate or contact us, we collect what you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number, project address, project type, and project details. We also keep records of calls, texts, and emails you exchange with us.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, your approximate location (city or region, not your precise location), and certain interactions — for example, when you tap one of our phone links. Our hosting provider also records standard server data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the Site.

We do not ask for, and ask that you not submit, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the Site.

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule a site visit or estimate
• To communicate with you about your project, including by phone, text message, and email
• To prepare estimates, contracts, and records we are required to keep as a licensed contractor
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the Site
• To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, and only for those purposes:

• Web3Forms — delivers estimate-form submissions to our email inbox.
• Google — provides Google Analytics.
• Vercel Inc. — hosts the Site.
• Our email and phone providers — carry the messages and calls you exchange with us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of our business.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) to recognize repeat visits. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. You can stop analytics in any of these ways:

• Use the control below to turn analytics off for this browser.
• Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser — we treat it as an opt-out and do not send analytics data.
• Install Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to DNT, the Site does not change its behavior based on it. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control signal described above.

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry and your project. We do not send marketing text messages without your separate consent, and we do not share your number with anyone for their marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Whether or not those laws apply to a business of our size, we honor the following requests from California residents:

• Know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we use it, and who we share it with.
• Delete — personal information we collected from you, subject to records we must keep by law (for example, contracts and permit records).
• Correct — inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask us to confirm.
• Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email or call us using the details below. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity, usually by matching information you already gave us. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority.

Shine the Light. Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, you may ask whether we disclosed your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and do not use any personal information to infer characteristics about you.

We keep estimate requests and related communications for as long as needed to respond to you and carry out any project. If you become a client, we keep contracts, invoices, permit records, and related communications for as long as California contractor, tax, and warranty rules require — generally up to 10 years after a project is completed, which reflects California’s period for latent construction defect claims. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for no longer than 14 months.

The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit access to the information you send us to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is intended for adults arranging construction and remodeling work. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site links to and embeds content from other services, such as Google Maps and social media. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes apply only to information collected after the change.
